How to make a Yoto MYO icon

A Yoto MYO icon is a 16×16 pixel PNG that shows on the player's display while its track plays. Making one takes about a minute: shrink a photo to 16×16, tidy the pixels, and download the PNG.

1. Add a photo

Drop, paste or choose any image and the tool shrinks it to 16×16 pixels, entirely in your browser. Photos with one clear subject shrink best.
2. Tidy the pixels

Paint, erase and pick colours until the icon reads clearly at actual size. The two preview chips show it at true 16×16 size on white and on the player.
3. Download your PNG

Press download and you get yoto-icon-16x16.png, ready for the Yoto MYO studio. Upload it against any track — each track on a card can have its own icon.

What size are Yoto MYO track icons?

Yoto MYO track icons are 16×16 pixel PNG files, set individually on each track. Anything larger or smaller will not display properly on the player, so this tool always exports at exactly 16×16.

Can a Yoto icon have a transparent background?

Yes — but transparent pixels display as dark, unlit pixels on the player. If you would rather have a solid background, paint it with a colour before you download.

How do I add an icon to a Yoto MYO track?

Upload the 16×16 PNG against the track in the Yoto MYO studio — each of the up to 100 tracks on a card takes its own icon. If uploads are failing, the card's limits are the usual cause: our Yoto MYO limits guide covers the 100MB or 60-minute per-track cap and the 600MB or 6-hour per-card cap, with fixes.
