Who writes the story, and who reads it?
Wayfable writes it from the line you type and narrates it with a generated voice. No stranger sits in a booth saying your child's name, and no recording of your child is made or needed. How it works follows one story from your first line to the finished audio.
Can I hear one before I pay?
Yes. The free story library needs no account and no card. Read or play a few and judge the writing before you give us anything.
What happens to my child's name?
It goes into the story and the narration, and nowhere else. It is kept out of our analytics, out of our logs and out of the prompts that draw the cover art. The privacy policy has the full account, including how to have everything deleted.
What does it cost?
There is a free tier and there are paid plans. Rather than repeat figures that would go stale here, the pricing page lists every plan, what a story costs in credits and what each tier includes.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from your account settings, and you keep the stories you have already made. The cancellation and refund rights are set out in the terms.
Does it work with a Yoto player?
Once your Yoto account is linked, one tap sends a finished story to your child's player. A Yoto is optional: every story also plays on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. Wayfable is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Yoto.
What if the story comes out wrong?
Tell us what happened and we will look at it. You can also write another story with a different brief, which is usually quicker than waiting for us.
Who are you, exactly?
A small company in London. The registered entity, the company number and the address are on the about page, alongside a link to the public register entry.
