A narrated story costs 1 to 2 credits depending on length, an illustrated storybook costs 2, and you can add either or both to any story.

Bedtime mode

A bedtime story is paced differently from a daytime one. Turn bedtime mode on and the sentences get shorter as the story goes, with the last minute deliberately quiet, so the story winds them down instead of winding them up. It costs the same as any other story.

More than one child

Add a brother or a sister in step one and they co-star, each named in the story, so nobody has to take a turn waiting. One story for two or three children costs the same credits as a story for one.
