1. Introduction

Wayfable is a service that creates personalised, AI-generated stories for children. These terms govern your use of the Wayfable website and service. By creating an account or using Wayfable, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create a Wayfable account.
• Children use the service only through a parent or guardian's account. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure.

3. The Service

• Wayfable generates personalised stories for children using third-party AI technology (Anthropic Claude).
• Story content is based on the preferences, interests, and child profiles you provide.
• We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the service at any time.

4. Content Ownership

• You own the stories generated for your family through Wayfable.
• Wayfable retains a limited licence to store, process, and deliver your content as part of providing the service.
• Wayfable does not claim ownership of your generated content.
• AI-generated content is provided "as is" without guarantees of originality. Similar prompts may produce similar stories for different users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to generate violent, sexual, exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
• Use the service via automated scripts, bots, or scrapers.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Yoto Integration

• Wayfable offers an optional integration with Yoto, a third-party audio player service.
• Your use of Yoto is subject to Yoto's own terms of service and privacy policy.
• Wayfable is not responsible for Yoto's service availability, performance, or changes to their platform.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at [email protected] for refund requests.

8. Limitation of Liability

• The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
• Wayfable's total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.
• As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for reviewing any content before sharing it with your children.
• Wayfable is not liable for any AI-generated content that may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unsuitable.

9. Termination

• You may close your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
• On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

• We may update these terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or an in-app notification.
• Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
